Elisa Strauss of Confetti Cakes taught her Safari Gift Box cake class at Flour Confections this week. Over the course of the 2 day class, students learned how to create a perfect open gift box cake complete with the most amazing multi-looped bow and safari animals.
Students were greeted each morning to juice, fresh coffee and tea and their choice of fresh blueberry muffins or cheddar cheese scones! What a way to start off the day!! My intern Robyn made amazing chocolate chip/cocoa nib cookies for the afternoon pick me up - another big hit amongst the students!
But the main attraction was Elisa and her fabulous creations! Elisa is an AMAZING instructor - filled with so much knowledge and willing to discuss anything - from cake challenges to business matters and pricing. I know that I learned a lot during this class and hope to have her back again!
